100% Marseille

Rimini Protokoll

Berlin / Marseille l duration : 100'

Who are the people of Marseille? 100 residents identified as a representative sample of their city paint an unexpected picture of Marseille on stage, at last giving statistics a human face.

Who supports the Paris Saint-Germain football club? Who has been unfaithful? Who didn’t vote in the last elections? Who has saved someone’s life? Following a socio-demographic survey carried out by the Festival, 100 locals tasked with representing the city’s 900,000 inhabitants answer a host of personal, social and political questions—some light-hearted, some deadly serious. The internationally renowned Berlin collective Rimini Protokoll, which specialises in documentary theatre based on testimonials from “day-to-day experts”, plays with facts and figures to paint a playful portrait of Marseille.
