Marseille l duration : 80'

Based on seven sequences commissioned from different choreographers, performed by dancers from the Ballet National de Marseille and ICK, 7even challenges the way we relate to the body: the raw body, the expressive body, the augmented body, the absent body...

In this new show by the BNM and ICK, international choreographers belonging to the new generation from a range of cultural and disciplinary backgrounds explore 7 Necessities, the artistic manifesto by Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten. Seven choreographers have thus been invited to approach the human body via seven short dance pieces; they were asked to express their own choreographic necessities and help to develop a ballet/manifesto in which each sequence “reveals its innermost essence”.
