Amos Ben-Tal is a Dutch-Israeli choreographer. He began to dance at the age of thirteen and went to several schools in Israel before completing his training in 1997 at the National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada. He moved to the Netherlands and performed for nine years with the Nederlands Dans Theater, and in 2005 presented his own show Track, which earned much critical acclaim.
Amos Ben-Tal left the Nederlands Dans Theater in 2006 to focus on his own work and choreographed several pieces for Korzo Productions including Ziggurat (2007), We Are Not Humanity (2008), The New Work (2011) et Kill The Victor (2012). Amos Ben-Tal, who has been interested in music since his childhood, writes the music for all his pieces. He founded the indie rock band Noblesse, and in 2012 co-founded the OFFprojects collective with other former dancers from the Nederlands Dans Theater and Batsheva, producing interdisciplinary performances, events and installations. Since its first show, OFFline (2014), the collective has attracted a great deal of interest thanks to its innovative approach and the talent of its performers.
