Born in London, Botis Seva founded his company in 2009. From 2015 to 2017, he created pieces such as TuTuMucky, Da Native, REK, and GEN 20:20, for which he won numerous awards including the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition and Aerowaves17.
In 2018, Botis began working on BLKDOG with Julie Cunningham and Alesandra Seutin. Premiered at Sadler's Wells in the autumn of 2019, the piece won the Olivier Award for Best Dance Production the same year.
Meanwhile, Botis served as a guest artistic director of the National Youth Dance Company. In 2021, he was one of 10 artists to receive the inaugural Chanel Next prize.
