The choreographer and filmmaker Christophe Haleb has made the many facets of the world’s youth into the common thread of a long-term project. In his series of films titled Éternelle Jeunesse, poetry, documentary, dance and raw teen energy take us to Valence, Amiens, Uzès, Pont-Saint-Esprit and Romans-sur-Isère... and as far as the Sierra Chiquita in Cuba where he made his first feature-length film Las Maravillas with youngsters who subject their bodies to the challenges of life in the city. These films are supported and produced by La Zouze - Compagnie Christophe Haleb, which has been based in Marseille since 2003.
This documentary follows the lives of young Cubans in the streets of Regla and listens to their powerful desire for emancipation and dreams of freedom, leaving behind familiar clichés of Cuba.
Christophe Haleb will be present at the screening
