Taoufiq Izeddiou lives in Marrakech, where he was born and where he created the On Marche festival, and in Aix-en-Provence, where he set up his company Anania Danses. An versatile artist, he is a dancer, choreographer and teacher. Since Fina Kenti in 1999 he has created countless solos and group pieces, including Hmadcha for nine male performers, the first part of a new trilogy. Hors du monde, the second part, is a a duet written specially for the guitarist Mathieu Gaborit, aka aYaTo, and the dancer Hassan Oumzili, his partner in Border_Line and Hmadcha. A unique performer who “explores the founding gesture of trance, takes hold of a thread and sees how far it will go”, he detaches himself from the political body and becomes a poetic body as he enters his trance… Listening to one another, the dancer and musician seek an alternative to the ordinary world, foreshadowing the third part of the trilogy: Le Monde en transe.
