Olivier Dubois has performed for Angelin Preljocaj, the Cirque du Soleil, Jan Fabre, Dominique Boivin, Sasha Waltz and many more. In 2006, the SACD and the Avignon Festival asked him to create a piece as part of the “Sujet à vif” programme. Titled Pour tout l’or du monde, it was awarded the special jury prize by the French Critics’ Union. In 2008 he presented Faune(s), based on Nijinski’s ballet L’après-midi d’un faune, at the Avignon Festival, and was awarded First Prize at the Jardin d’Europe awards in Vienna.
His exhibition L’interprète dévisagé was presented at the Centre National de la Danse in Paris in 2009.
In 2010 he presented Spectre, a piece commissioned by the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, and the same year created L’homme de l’Atlantique, a duet set to music by Frank Sinatra, for the Biennale de la Danse in Lyon.
In 2009 he began his trilogy titled Étude critique pour un trompe l’œil with Révolution, first performed at the Ménagerie de Verre in Paris, followed by the solo Rouge in 2011 and the stunning Tragédie performed at the Avignon Festival in 2012.
As part of the European Capital of Culture programme in Marseille in 2013, Olivier Dubois produced Élégie for the Ballet National de Marseille. He won the award for best choreographer at the 2013 Danza & Danza Awards for Tragédie and Élégie .
