Malika Djardi

Malika Djardi is a choreographer and performer whose work combines visual and stage-related research around socio-cultural practices. She explores beliefs and worldviews by creating a unique language and universe.

Malika trained in contemporary dance at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), then at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers. She has danced for Joris Lacoste, Ola Maciejewska, Alexandre Roccoli and Pierre Droulers.

As a choreographer, she created her first solo Sa prière in 2014 and continued her journey with the duet Horion (2016), the lecture-and-dance piece titled 3 (2017), a short series format titled Épisode (2019), and PIER 7 (2021), which takes as its starting point a dialogue with the pro skateboarder JB Gillet.
