Born in 1976, Benjamin Dupé studied at the Conservatoire in Nantes and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. He frequently creates commissioned works for orchestras, choreographers, directors, National Music Centres, the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM), and many others.
He also collaborates with performers such as Garth Knox, the Tana Quartet, Pascal Contet, Bruno Chevillon, the soprano Léa Trommenschlager, the actor Pierre Baux and the conductor Jean Deroyer.
His works have been performed at contemporary music festivals (Manifeste-IRCAM, Musica Strasbourg, Donaueschingen MusikTage), operas (Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Théâtre de Caen, Opéra de Limoges, Opéra de Dijon), as well as the Avignon Festival, museums and public spaces.
Since 2012, he has been artistic director of the company Comme je l’entends, les productions. In 2016, he received the SACD New Talent Music Prize and was a laureate of the "Mondes Nouveaux" call for expressions of interest in 2021.
