Creating with the city

The Festival de Marseille involves people from Marseille, small and tall, professionals and amateurs, disabled and able-bodied, in numerous artistic creations. Thus, making its programme a reflection of the diversity in the city.


In 2023, they were on stage, more beautiful than ever, with :


Aina Alegre

Her new creation Parades & Désobéissances is an open-air performance created specially for the Festival de Marseille at the great Fort Saint-Nicolas/Entrecasteaux  with 100 amateur dancers from Marseille.


Marina Gomes

In Bach Nord, the choreographer showcases the talent of young people, especially high school pupils from the 3rt, 13th,14e and 15th arrondissements of Marseille, who spent a long time taking part in workshops with dancers  from Gomes’s company, Hylel.


Mammalian Diving Reflex

Trained by the Canadian collective and the expert hands of professional hairdressers, children from the La Vistre Bousquet school in Marseille are in charge of appointments, reception, cutting and colouring!


Ief Spincemaille

After crossing Marseilles during the 2021 summer, 60 metres long Rope left behind 11 metres of its huge body to continue exploring the city until 2023. The Belgian artist and researcher offers a Public defense of his PhD Doctorate with humour and poetry.


They were also in G.R.O.O.V.E by Bintou Dembélé and Skatepark by Mette Ingvartsen, who both sollicited the participation of young people from Marseille.
